Doug Kershaw is known by many names!  The Ragin Cajun, the Louisiana Man, The King Of The Bayou.  Doug is an all of these things but formost he is an American original.  Born in Tiel Ridge, Cameron Parish Louisiana, the heart of Cajun Country where French is the first spoken tongue Doug is one of the best ambassadors Louisiana has ever had and has taken his Cajun heritage worldwide.

In 1968 Doug appeared on the Johnny Cash show and opened the eye's of millions of people to a new sound!  It was country! It was rockin! It was sweet! It was foot    stompin fun but most of all, it was Cajun!  The world took notice and

Warner Brothers Records took notice too and signed Doug to a multi year deal that has produced classics like "Lousiana Man", "Diggy Diggy Lo", "Cajun Joe", and "Rita Put Your Red Shoes On".  In 1969 Doug Kershaws legend was immortalized when Apollo 12 landed on the moon and the first song they broadcast back to earth was...."Louisiana Man" a autobiographical tale about a working Louisianan that has become Doug's signature song.  A Doug Kershaw show is alot of things but best of all it is a guaranteed good time that will bring people of every age and presuasion together.
