Johnny Lee is Texas born and raised. He started playing guitar and singing at an early age and had some regional success with his own band in High School. After high School Johnny joined the Navy and served on a cruiser in Viet Nam. After getting out of the Navy Johnny got serious with his music and teamed up with Mickey Gilley for ten years. In 1979 the hits hit the fan with Johnny having three songs in the internationally successful movie Urban Cowboy. The 1st song released from the film "Looking For Love" went number one on both the country and the pop charts and stayed on both of them for weeks. A feat unheard of until Shania Twain would do it again 20 years later. Johnny's current show is all hits and his band is a smokin collection of the finest players in the southwest.
