"The Original" Riders of the Purple Sage

In 1936, Buck Page at the age of 13 formed a western band called The Riders of the Purple Sage.  61 years later Buck is still playing Guitar and singing lead with the Riders.  (Talk about Viagra).
The Riders Immortalized the country hits "Ghost Riders In The Sky", Don't Fence Me In, Pecos Bill, Blue Shadows On The Trail,
When Payday Rolls Around, Red River Valley and many more cherished favorites.  Other long time members are "Mike Ley" who played bass with Sonny & Cher, Steve Miller, Molly Bee and Cliffie Stone. "CCMA Winner Cody Bryant" on Fiddle, Banjo, Mandolin, Guitar & Vocals and Dart Zubis on accordian. The Riders of the Purple Sage are the perfect western Band to make an audience laugh, cry and remember a time when life was simpler and values more easily defined.  The holders of numerous awards including six Golden Boots (The Western Grammys) The Riders are summed up best by this quote from Roy Rogers.... "With a great blend of voices, they make an authentically beautiful sound - like a western wind...."
