Elvis himself said it best in 1968 while filming his famed and classic comeback special dressed in black leather.....;

 

         " I'm  a rock and roll man and that's what I'm going to prove tonight"

The young Elvis of the 1950s was an original.  He was influenced by a variety of                sources including black gospel and Rythm & Blues artists, country artists, and popular singers. He melded those styles into his own and the world has never seen another like him since. In 1989 I had the pleasure to meet his longtime musical conductor Joe Guercio and he summed Elvis up this way.

"No matter what Elvis went thorugh the one thing he never lost was his beautiful voice,     he kept that until the end.   

 

    Vic Trevino has that voice. And the passion for the music that was Elvis.
