In 1960, in Houston Texas Wayne "Trombone" Henderson along with Wilton Felder, Joe Sample, and Nesbert Hooper started a musical group that would go on to become perhaps the most influential Jazz act ever! Over a four decade period the act has been at the forefront of modern jazz & Funk. In the 1970s they added the element of funk to their Jazz and the result was multi million selling hits that took the world by storm and today you still hear "Keep That Same Old Feeling", "Street Life, "Put It Where You Want It" and other Crusaders hits wherever you go.
Wayne Henderson has also had great success as a recording producer working with a multitude of stars like Patti Austin, Bill Withers, Ronnie Laws, Steely Dan, Marvin Gaye, BB King, The Jackson 5, Joni Mitchell, Tina Turner, and many more.
